Brooks Nader 2023: Dominican Republic
Brooks Nader was photographed by James Macari in the Dominican Republic for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue along with fellow models Katie Austin, Camille Kostek, Hailey Clauson, Lauren Chan and Madisin Rian.
The Baton Rouge, La., native made her SI Swimsuit debut in 2019, winning the Swim Search open casting call that year. Nader, the oldest of four sisters who all live in New York City, has appeared in the issue five straight years. Nader is passionate about interior design. and is slowly becoming an Instagram fashion icon with her impeccable style.
Cap Cana is a tropical oasis located in the Punta Cana area of the Dominican Republic. The exclusive private community is renowned for both its luxurious service and non-stop activity. It boasts white sand beaches, seaside cliffs and a variety of native wildlife. The Dominican Republic is also home to Sports Illustrated Resorts Marina & Villas Cap Cana, an all-inclusive luxury resort that is an ideal spot for adventurous guests who are looking for an action-packed getaway. Thus, the location was an easy choice for the 2023 SI Swimsuit Issue.

The SI Swimsuit team decided to leverage the eager anticipation around this summer’s forthcoming Greta Gerwig-directed Barbie film, so the styling for Nader’s shoot embraced full-on Barbiecore. The swimsuits were sexy and playful while exuding tons of powerful feminine energy. Think lots of hot pink, bold patterns and strong silhouettes suitable for the iconic doll herself.
